The Aalto University Augmented Reality Storybook was created for semi-permanent exhibition in the Aalto University Welcome Lounge. The project featured a customised book with pages that trigger 2D and 3D animations to playback in augmented reality. These animations can be seen through a tablet, which is secured to the display table. The project and story was conceived, researched, and written by Jennifer Greb. The illustrations and animations were created by Jennifer Greb and Julia Sand.

As visitors view the book through the front camera of the tablet, each page is overlaid with unique virtual imagery that corresponds to the illustrations on the surface of the book. The story of Aalto University, told through text and illustrations on the physical pages of the book, is supported and enhanced by the accompanying virtual animations.
